This fall, Emmaus women will continue in our second semester of women’s mentoring! Women’s mentoring is a time where the women of Emmaus meet for one semester with 3-4 other women to study the Bible, pray and seek biblical wisdom for life.

Interested in joining a group? Sign up below, and make plans to join us for our Kickoff event on September 10 from 3 – 5 p.m. at The Rino (NEW event space next to Colony Coffee on Armour Road in NKC).

Sign up for the Fall semester of Emmaus Women’s Mentoring here.

Order the 1 Peter study here.

  • Length: 10 weeks total (kickoff plus 9 weeks of mentoring groups)
  • Groups: You will be paired with other women who have the same general availability as you.
  • Childcare: Each group covers their own childcare.
  • Study: 1 Peter by Jen Wilkin

For the next several (several) weeks, we’ll be working through the book of Galatians.

To attend, please register here. The week of your Open House, you will receive an email that gives you more information, including directions.

Membership Weekend

If you are not a covenant member of Emmaus, but find yourself considering if Emmaus should be your church home, you’re invited to join us for our Membership Weekend this fall! You’ll have the chance to get to know us more, and explore the possibility of becoming a member.
Membership weekend is Friday, September 15 – Saturday, September 16.
  • Friday 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Emmaus desires to be a people who deeply love and care for the refugee. It is our desire to offer practical and needed services along with the hope of the gospel to those who are hurting, relocated and alone.

We have partnered with Crossworld and RefugeKC to offer holistic services to refugee families that includes:
  • ESL
  • School tutoring
  • Childcare
  • Friendship

We are accepting semester-long volunteers who can commit one Saturday a month August – December 2017. If you are interested in volunteering to come alongside refugees with us, please read and fill out the form here:

+ more! Details to come soon.

If you are a member regular attender, we want to invite you to join us in our mission of taking the life-giving, joy-producing gospel of Jesus to our city.  Here are some extremely practical ways you can help:

Worship —We’re in need of more musicians! If you play bass or electric guitar, consider joining the worship team. If you’re interested and want more information, email Sam Parkison (

Emmaus Kids – With an increase in space we anticipate an increase in the number of people attending our weekend gatherings, which means we will need more people to help us declare and display the gospel to our children. There is not a more important role in the ministry life of our church than the role which spends itself teaching our children about the wonders of Jesus. Please contact Tabitha Rainwater ( if you are interested in joining our kids team!

Production – You might not even realize they’re there unless something with our sound or screens go wrong. This is an essential behind-the scenes role in our church and it is a job that anyone can be trained to do. Contact Shawn Cantrell ( for more information.

Hospitality – This team puts full emphasis on making guests and members feel loved. If you want to display the gospel through the welcoming of guests and members, then email Kyler Keith, Director of Hospitality (

Setup – Our new location is a semi-permanent location, which means that on Sunday mornings we will be setting up and tearing down our band, sound, and guest services each week.  We are creating an entire new team of volunteers to arrive early and serve all of our weekend attenders by making sure that our gathering site is ready for members and guests to join us! If you are interested in our serving our church through this avenue then please contact Ruthie Cantrell (
